Santa display unpatriotic? City rethinks tradition.

  In Willoughby Ohio, a Santa Claus on a flagpole has citizens rethinking the tradition. Every year they put up the display, but this year they've realized that the flagpole should have a flag. The flagpole is the tallest flagpole in the town and sits in the very middle. Therefor it is the most important to have a flag. People beleive that this is unpatriotic and must be fixed. The Citizens of this town have givin many complaints to city leaders. To resolve this conflict they will be removing the santa clause from the flagpole in the future.

   I agree with the citizens of this town. To me it is unpatriotic to have the tallest most important flagpole have no flag. The Santa Claus could be put somewhere else, but the flag shouldnt. I think that the people of this area should of noticed earlier because it would be easier to deal with. Now they can not change it because its to far into the season.

Borderland family using 350,000 Christmas lights to decorate home.

  In Mesilla, Joe Novaks house is decorated with 350,000 lights! They all flash at different times, going with the tune of a Christmas song. Each song takes almost 25-30 hours to program, there are eight songs. Joe plans to add even more lights next year! The people who come by to see them really enjoy it, they even send him letters asking if he is to do it again. Whats really suprising is that his electric bill isnt that much because he uses LED lights. He chose LEDs because they use much less power than other lights.
  I think that this is really amazing. 350,000 is a lot of lights! I like the fact that he uses LED lights because they dont consume all the power, where regular lights could drown it. It must of took so much of his time and money just to put them all up. I wish that I could go see it one day.
